I enjoyed a comfortable room with a pleasant view and great bedding. The location near the harbor was lively, and the staff were helpful, making check-in and check-out easy.
The breakfast menu could use more variety and better quality options.

The hotel had a very central position close to Nobbys & Newcastle, near many restaurants on the wharf and a taxi. The breakfast was substantial and particularly good, we were provided with making pancakes and free bottled water.

Excellent Business Stay at Rydges Newcastle
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rydges Newcastle for a business trip, as it was chosen by my director. The location couldn't have been better, with stunning views of the harbour that made my morning coffee all the more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the complimentary access to the Forum Health and Wellness Centre next door; taking the time to relax there after a busy day was refreshing. The room was spacious and comfortable, featuring a well-appointed bathroom and a cozy atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. I also appreciated the fast and hassle-free checkout process, which allowed me to get on with my day with minimal delay.
Staffing issues at breakfast.

Staff very friendly and most helpful.
Had to call the staff twice to fix the TV and to fix the bath. This was disappointing given the cost of the rooms.

The hotel is excellent. Very upmarket and spotlessly clean. The staff were all extremely professional, courteous and nothing was too much trouble to ensure our stay was comfortable and pleasant.
That the wi-fi services incur a cost. Considering that most places we have stayed in the past include this as part of the room rate, I would expect that wi- fi services are free, or at the very least, partly free up tp a certain percentage of data used.

The efficient valet staff welcomed us warmly, and check-in was smooth. Our spacious room offered serene views of the garden and port. The pool area was enjoyable despite the holiday crowds, and the proximity to landmarks like the Newcastle Memorial Walk made our trip nice. Dining in was a treat, especially the expertly cooked monkfish. We both loved the extensive and satisfying buffet breakfast. a lovely experience!

The gym and breaKFAST
Gave me the wrong room with single beds instead of queen bed, no ocean view and balcony that I paid for, not allowed to see where they parked your car. Wrong newspaper in the morning. Some staff were not intersted in what I had to say , they kept saying it was a full house.

I had a pleasant stay at rydges, where the room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making my check-in quick and easy. I particularly enjoyed the stunning view of the harbour from my room's balcony. I felt that some added personal touches, like a complimentary bottle of champagne for special occasions, would enhance the experience even more.
No complaints! 😊.

The location was so lovely and close to all that the Honeysuckle area has to offer. The room was very nice, as it was on the ground floor we had a virtual court yard (one we could see but couldn't go into) and it made our room feel like a relaxation spa.
I mentioned to the hotel manager that these days hotels should include skinny milk in the mini bar. And also that my breakfast on the day was unejoyable nearly inedible. I should have gone with the fresh made omelets rather than the temptation of eggs benedict.
